Im lazy, what can I say.

I have actually been quite busy the past couple of weeks. But yes I have had time to put something on my blog. I just, well, haven't. I don't really know what is going on with the interview... just that it will hopefully be soon.
I had a rather eventful day at work last week. I was moving some servers out of the server rooms at the hospital that haven't run in over a year. Some of them are rather heavy to say the least so I was tugging away at one, and what I didn't see was an old tape drive at the top of the rack... about to fall. And fall it did, right onto my hand. If you don't know, older tape drives are quite heavy and well built and it left a good mark on my hand. Luckily, I work at a hospital, and within one hour I had an x-ray done and several doctors looking at the films. (I guess it's a point of interest when the computer geek gets injured :P) All was well, no permanent damage.

now, normally i would make some crack about you having a thick skull. but i'm not gonna say anything about you having a thick skull. because saying you have a thick skull that can take a beating would be mean. so here's me, not saying that you have a thick skull that can stand up to heavy objects being dropped on its thick thick skull.

heh heh

Yes, old servers and server components were usually made out of a lot of metal, no plastic to be found on the chassis. I think the heaviest one I ever had to lug about was an HP LX Pro which was the Mill's old Lotus Notes server. 59-85kg (131-187lb ), depending on the configuration.
