Let the fun begin!!
This weekend is the first Straley Reunion that we have had in a very long time. All of the family on my dad’s side (close family) came up to your house to spend the weekend playing games and socializing. So in total there is just over 20 people staying between my parents house and my sisters house…. my sister lives right next door. Friends of ours were kind enough to loan us a fifth wheel for the weekend to accommodate all of the extra people. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow so I will be missing some of the fun but its still good to see everyone again.
The work Saturday thing is ok I guess, mostly for the fact that its one more day for me to work. I need the hours and the money so I guess it?s a good thing. Plus it gives me some flexibility since I get to pick the day off during the week I that I need. And the guys are all good to work with and its nice having a boss that you can have fun with, not quite as good as Chris though.
Well its back to the games with me.

Ok, so its been a while.
Went to look at my site and found that there was nothing displayed because I hadn’t posted anything in the past 2 weeks. So I increased the number of days displayed so it looks like I blog more. 
Things here are not to bad. I am working but not as much as I would like. We are now open on Saturdays in order to get more business in and get me more hours. The only problem is that I now work Saturdays… but hay I need the hours… so I cant complain.
Finally got around to setting up my water bed… what a fiasco that was. I have not had it up since I moved out of my apt back in Dec. The parts to the bed went into the garage never to be seen again. It took me almost 2 hours to find all the parts of it plus some construction time repairing what had been broken while in the garage. The other problem is that I have a queen sized water bed and my parents have an old king sized one also in the garage. And all the parts look very alike… which just added to the fun. I finally got the thing setup and started to fill it with water… the bag seemed not quite right but I ignored it. Once it was as full as it should be I checked it out and discovered that it was the king sized bag and not mine. Soooooo I had to drain the stupid thing and 4 hours later put the right one in and filled it up.
So what had started early that afternoon finished at 2 am with me crawling into bed in my nice warm bed. Nothing makes home feel more like home than sleeping in your own bed. You ever wondered about that?
Anyway I should get going its late.

Creepy.
A few nights ago I had one of the most creepy dream experiences I have ever had. It was really late and I was having trouble sleeping and I guess I was dreaming because I looked up from my bed and saw that a spider had made a huge spiderweb above/on my bed. Now just in case you don’t know spiders and me don’t get along very well, they scare me… really scare me. So I am lying there thinking that the spider is probably on my bed somewhere so I get up and walk around my room (to avoid the web) and when to turn on the light to see if I could see the spider. Now some point between leaving my bed and turning on the light I must have woken up because when I turned it on the web was gone. I think the creepiest thing was that there was a seamless transition from my dream to real life and I could not figure out where one ended and the other began. It took about 5 min of searching just to make sure that there was in fact no spiderweb before I would climb back into bed.

Stupid Blog Spamers!!
For the past few days there has been a constant attack on my blog site from spammers. I have been getting between 10-20 junk comments a day from people trying to advertise porn sites or weigh loss crap. I am not very pleased about this, and short of turning off my comments I am not sure what I can do. So I am sorry if some not good stuff is ending up on this blog site, I am trying to keep it as “G” rated as possible but it?s becoming a full time job keeping up with it all.
Short of that things are going well here and I am looking forward to this weekend since my parents will be gone. PARTY AT DAVES!!!! Oh and if anyone from Dryden wants to make the trip you are more than welcome at my place.

FIREWORKS!!!
Well I went down to Vancouver this weekend to see the Celebration of Lights in Vancouver. Its a compition between different countries to see who can put on the best fireworks display. This is the third week is has been running and next weekend is the final. I am not sure what country I saw last night but they put on an amazing show, puts the Kamloops fireworks to shame. I still havent see the 4th of julivers that is in Seattle every year but I heard its quite good too. Maybe next year. So for this everyone goes down to the beach and they fire the explosives from a barge in the sound. Only about 300,000 people show up for each show and cram onto the beach… leaving can be a nightmare.
So funny story, we are on the beach watching the fireworks and then head back, and take the sky train back to the car. We get to the car and find out that the keys to Lish’s car are still on the beach… now over an hour away. So we call a lock smith and are told that since its a long weekend and 1:00 in the morning that it would cost about $200 to get a key cut. So friends of heather came and picked us up and took us back to the camp site. In the morning we phoned around and found that most places were going to charge that much to get the job done. Let Lish phone one of them and somehow got the guy to do it for just over $100, man to be a woman. We guys can be way to easy sometimes. So we got the keys cut and the guy even came to the camp site to pick us up. (guy was about 40 and very creapy) So all is well and I am back in town.
