Thanksgiving?

Yah it was the American thanksgiving yesterday and like good little Americans we had to celebrate it. Hey its a tough job but might as well make the best of it. :P
Not too much happening in the life of Dave as of recently, I have been working a lot but not enough to keep me from getting bored. Which is why I ended up making cinnamon buns last night. I don?t know why but when I get bored I like to make cinnamon buns… what can I say I am weird. The only problem is by the time I decide to make them its like 7 or 8 and by the time the dough is made and everything is done its past 12am. Oooohhhh do they taste good though.

I finished Half Life 2 a couple of days ago, its a little shorter than I thought it was going to be… and the ending left you hanging once again. The attention to detail was amazing in the game but now finding myself wishing there was more to it. There should be some pretty awesome games to come based on the HL2 engine. Your right Amy… I an turning into the geek that lives in his parents basement… not good. Ok well I am going to do something, not on a computer for a while.

Ok… thats IT!!

Well that was about 1.5 hours that I could have better spent elsewhere. After seeing about 300 posts over the past few days that were from spammers I decided to make a change to my blog. From now on only the 5 most current posts will be up for comment. That way it will only take me 5 min to clear out any unwanted posts vs. 1.5 hours. Hopefully it will discourage any further Spam to hit my site and even if it doesn?t it will make life easier for me. Which is good… I guess.

Alright Boys and girls… Lets Hack XP!

Just came across the coolest tool. For the past several years most of you have seen the same boring old “Windows XP” loading screen going across your screen. Day after boring day. And to us computer people the thought of messing with the Kernel.exe file was just not appealing to us. However I came across a handy little tool that changes your screen in seconds to whatever you want! Not only that but its completely free! But wait there is more, there is a site with over 1,000 different skins to download… or you can even create your own.

So here is the link to the bootskin program

and a link to the website with all the skins is here. Just click on the skins link on the left hand side. Oh and Allen there is ones to make it have the OSX boot screen so you can believe for a few seconds that you are running a Mac in that shuttle box. :P

Game Review.

Ill make this short and sweet. Half Life 2 is the first game that I purchased before it was even released. And it was worth it. A truly amazing game that will set the standard for future games to come. I highly recommend it.

Oh and on a completely unrelated note, I had a customer come into spitfire computers a few days ago… guess what her name was? Nope that?s not it… try again…. give up? Her name was Guin Allen! I was going to write Gwen but she corrected me and said it was Guin short for Guinivere. Unless you are from Dryden you are not going to catch the significance of this but I thought it was cool at least. And thats all that really counts anyway. :P

Movie Review.

Ill pretend this is Chris?s blog for a second and do a movie review.

The Incredible lived up to its name. The movie was… awesome! Thought I was going to say incredible didn?t you. It had the comedy, suspense, drama, and of course… the geek gone psycho. (its going to happen to me one day I just know it) In short it was a good movie and you should go see it.

What is the best rating on your site Chris? Is it “Go see it in theaters and buy it when it comes out on DVD”? If it is then that?s what I give it.
