Another week come and gone.
Well I have been working lots… not doing much else though. I just have not thought of much to write down on my blog this week. Its just one of those things where you kind of have to have something in mind before you write. Maybe its because I don’t have any real theme to this blog. Like Chris’s blog is about entertainment things and whatever else he comes across on his daily surfing. Me on the other hand spend little time on the net, mostly playing games and watching anime.
So its been decided that ill (hopefully) be moving out in September with Earl. Got to find some place to move to first… there seems to be a shortage of apartments in town. I was hoping that if we go to it early enough that we would be able to meet the school rush for apartments… we are on several waiting lists at least.
I’m trying to get down to Seattle this weekend, however, I need to get the Saturday off in order to do so. And right now that doesn’t seem to be to likely. Gerry said he might be willing to take it for me but I don’t think he is to keen on the idea. So we will see what happens there.
Something that always impressed me about my Grandma (dad’s side) was her story telling abilities. I remember when I was a kid us grandkids would gather around and she would tell us a story. Not just any story we would give her an animal (one animal per kid) and she would make up a whole story on the spot involving every animal said. At the end of the story there would even be a moral kind of like Aesop’s fables. I was just remembering that, and thought I would share it with you.

Home alone in Sahali.
So this week I have been house sitting for my co-worker Gerry. There is Internet upstairs but I have not been ambitious enough to unplug one of Gerry?s computers and put mine on. So if you have tired to get a hold me online… I just have not been there. I will be back home Monday night so you all can catch up with me then… because I know you all are just dieing to talk to me. *Waves hand in Jedi fashion* you want to talk to me.
So apparently Gerry has 2 cats that inhabit his house… at first I thought he might be kidding, but the food disappears everyday and well something is leaving presents in the litter-box. So I tried to coax them out yesterday so I left some kitty treats out in the hall. But they waited until I was not looking and downstairs before they took them. My plan tonight is to try and smoke them out of the room with a smoke grenade I got from the army supply store. Then maybe a flash bomb or two.

Saturday… yet again.
Well after testing my computer I have come to the conclusion that… I like it.
My system is now as follows :
AMD Athlon 939 64bit +3500
MSI K8N-F Nforce 4 PCI-E board
1 GIG ram
Nvidia 6800 GT 256 MB (Manufacture: BFG comes over clocked out of the box)
Thermaltake Tsunami case black with window
Thermaltake silent boost CPU fan
Western Digital 36 GB raptor drive
The X-Connect power supply 500W
Several other HD’s (about 500 GIG total)
and some optical drives
I had much of that already, but I wanted to have a system that I could upgrade for a while since this will probably be the last time I do a major upgrade like this for several years. As far as performance well lets just say I can run Half life 2 at full res and I don?t see a single glitch. The card was the biggest purchase out of the bunch, it comes out of the box over clocked but I found a registry entry that opens up a utility where you can safely overclock it further. Currently I am running my card as an ultra instead of a GT and it seems to be running fine. BFG cards are now my favorite!
I would post the benchmark scores but that would take time to run them all so if there is any you would like to see let me know. I have run 3D mark 2001 and I got almost 22,000 on it… my old systems best was 12,500… so a bit of improvement.
I haven?t really messed with overclocking my processor… way to much time involved in testing to do that. Maybe one day Ill get ambitious and see what I can get it to… I have seen this motherboard almost double the Front Side bus speeds… but that was only with a liquid cooled system.

What you all have been waiting for!!
So I jumped… I lived… no one died… no one was injured… well not in our group at least.
It was Glen, Alisha, and me plus three people from Merritt that came to the all day class. Pretty simple for the most part and pretty easy to remember… until your are plummeting through the air with nothing to stop you accept some cloth and string.
We went through all the procedures and learned what to do and what not to do. Funny that the last thing they talked about is all the crap that can go wrong. I think Alisha was a little too excited about the stuff going wrong.
Our group went first (glen Alisha and I) and my mom got pictures of it all. There was a lady in the other group and well she kind of hit a fence… broke a leg and ankle. I hope she is doing better.
Would I do it again you ask? Well I plan on doing it again this summer if possible, but beyond that… not really sure. I think it would cost to much money to take up as a hobby, its a rich mans sport.($65 per jump)
