An update.
So yah got some news today. Apparently the only person I am now competing with for this position is, well, me. I am the only person in the interview process out of the internal hire. So I will go before a panel of 3 people and if they think I am good enough to do the job then I get the job. If not then they will post the position outside of the company in hopes that someone better will apply. 
Hopefully the interview will be soon so I don’t have to sit and wonder anymore about it.
On a different note Earl just sent me this link of a movie two guys did about 3 years ago. Its really quite amazing how well the did the light sabers in the fight… add in a computer generated background and it would rival something Lucas did in recent years.

Something to think about…
So you have heard that microwaving something with plastic wrap is bad, but have you ever wondered what a microwave does to things period? This is something I ran across in my random searching of the Internet. Some guys grand daughter decided that she would feed two plants with water, one plant with boiled filtered water, and the other with microwaved filtered water. Now the geeks have already gotten to this and torn this poor kids experiment apart as you can read from the posts below. Some did give some good advice and it would make a interesting experiment to do.

Ok this is Cool!
Just stumbled across this link… very cool! Its a picture of the earth, every hour showing the cloud cover night/day ect. And it looks like its updated every hour… I have been watching the darkness slowly aproach BC soon it will be on us all!

Its been a long I know…
But isn’t it always? This was by far one of the most stressful weeks at work. Why you ask? Well because there was a spot opening for the network admin for the North Okanogan for Interior Health. Basically I would be out of the basement of the hospital and move into the I.S. office upstairs. So for the past 2 weeks I have been going like made reading the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) book Dan gave me. Plus reading up on some telephony stuff as well. The test was yesterday morning and I didn?t do too badly… I think. As to weather I passed or not depends on what a “passing” mark is and how strict the making is. If I pass the test then I get an interview sometime soon and if that goes over well I get the job. Right now I am not getting my hopes up, I really am enjoying my current position at Interior Health and I have great people to work with. This spot would just be a bit more challenging for me, which I would like. So I will keep you posted on what I get… probably wont be until Tuesday of next week at least.
That has been pretty much consuming what free time I have had for the past bit so I don?t have much else to talk about. It?s the long weekend this weekend and I have to try and get 2 dinners from two different families done in one day. I think I am going to be full.
