Star Trek Come True… once again
Some mad scientists are developing the universal translator. They are calling it “Tower of Babel Device” from the biblical story where God made all the people of the world to speak different languages. They had tested one where you would talk and then a synthetic voice would repeat what you said but in a different language, but that made conversation a bit hard.? This latest on you just have to speak silently and the box reads what your vocal cords are doing and then the voice takes over. They say it’s like watching a dubbed movie. It?s pretty limited right now but give it 10 years and you can travel the world and talk to anyone you like.

Alright, Alright, Ill update.
So everyone is getting sick… I have had the edge of it for the past week but nothing too bad yet.? Lish and I went down to washington last weekend for Daniels wedding (he is my best man).? It was a really nice wedding, and the rain even stopped long enough for the wedding to take place… it was an outdoor wedding.?
Lish decided that she will do her bridesmades a favor and make their wedding dresses for them to help keep the cost down.? She has been doing an amazing job but I think its starting to get to her.? You can read about her trials with the dresses on her blog here.
This weekend is my batch party and well… I am a little worried.? The guys from work and Earl are throwing it and I have bribed Earl to keep me safe.? However if you read the Kelowna News on Saturday about some guy that was duct taped to a telephone pole, naked… then you will know Earl wont be in the wedding.
? Its a good group of guys so I dont think I will have a problem.
Wedding plans (at least the major stuff) are done and now its just the final, million little things that need to be done between now and Nov 18.? Plus my last day at my current position at Interior Health will be 2 days before the wedding, then when I come back from my honeymoon I will be in a new position.? I guess I have not posted that I got?the promotion I was going for.? As of Dec 4 I will be apart of the network group for IHA.? The only bad part about the move is now I have to commute into Kelowna everyday wich will add about 45-50 min each way to my day.? All in all its going to be a good move for me and I am going to have more to do and learn than ever before…. should be fun.
?Ok I do have things I need to get done today so I will leave you.
Good day.
