Something else I forgot…

So that thing that Lish was in the back room for 2 weeks creating… I have pictures… its pretty amazing. Somehow she turned wood, foam and fabric into a real live companion cube. If you dont know what it is, go to youtube.com and look it up. Then download the game and play it cause its one of the best games in a long time (Portal from Steam, also comes as part of the Orange Box set).

To top it all off the box opens up so we can store things in it like Wii stuff for the media room.

I was talking to the Aikido crew about this and how much time Lish spent on this and the general consensus is that for Lish’s birthday I am pretty much screwed. Because nothing I get will top this… Ken’s idea was that I spend 3 weeks making something (won’t really matter what) and even if she doesn’t like it she will have to say its good because I spent so much time on it. :P

Happy Easter!!

I know its a day late but then I am usually not on time.

This was the first year where we had the Easter festivities at our house… probably because this was the first time we had a place big enough. My parents, grandma, Sister, Bro-in-law, and their 3 kids all came down on Friday and stayed the night. Made our house seem quite small actually. My parents have much to do on sundays so they cannot be away for that day so we had our fun on Friday. The kids spent most of their time playing the Wii and watching movies downstairs and most of the adults played games up stairs. All in all it went quite well.

Lish, her Dad and I spend about 6 hours last week in the back yard of your house beating back the plants that have been growing for almost a decade unchecked. Lilac bushes suck. Thats all I have to say on the subject. Our awesome neighbours came through again. We were working in the back yard and they saw us and wanted to know if we needed any flowers. They brought over a wheelbarrow full of bulbs for us to plant, however, we had no place to plant them. So they brought over their rototiller and turned a spot next to our driveway back into a flower bed. I think in one day we increased the value of this place by $5k. :P
